There have been some 3rd party tools that could do this. It sounds as if you wish to do variant configuration as well. Frankly, I would question continuing with SAP when you wish to redo a significant portion of what you have paid for in a third-party tool. However, to answer your specific question, you could probably write the fetch and enter code in the USEREXIT_BEWERTEN_ENDE (that may not be exact, I am not logged onto R/3). Build a simple pricing procedure with the key subtotals you wish to display on the invoice and then fill the conditions in the exit. My initial reaction when reading your request is that your company makes way too much money if they wish to spend as much as this will take on top of an SAP system that probably can handle your needs mainly through configuration. Good Luck, Mike

We have 4-5 instances of SAP. Of course all of them have pricing configured within them. However, we are looking at pushing part of SD process outside of SAP to a (non-SAP) centralized external "engine" (eg something like a CRM that will allow our business partners to place quotes, to tap into a variety of configuration tools, bring BOMs back into the quotes and get pricing (outside of SAP). The pricing would be managed/determined in an external pricing engine... > > THEN the quotes would be pushed back into SAP to be converted to Orders along with the externally determined pricing. Theoretically easily using manual price conditions and a simple pricing procedure. > > HOWEVER.. the challenge is that we also want the quotes created IN SAP to reach out to this centralized engine to then pull the pricing INTO SAP. (don't want to have to maintain complex pricing procedures INSIDE SAP when we've already centralized them OUTSIDE of SAP. OR If someone needs to CHANGE the order created from the quote (created outside of SAP) and it has to reprice an existing line or a new line.. we want it to us the External pricing engine...to pull the prices in. > > We have a mixed SAP environment of 4.6, 4.7 and ECC5.0 > > ANYONE have ANY experience with this kind of animal? > Are there any pricing engines/tools that exist (that could integrate with SAP)? > Could the IPC possibly be used for this purpose? > And HOW might we punch out of SAP (from the SAP originated quote) to get the pricing? > > Any and all ideas or leads or links are welcome... > (we've been searching internet for info for a couple of weeks and have found very little to date..). > > P.S. I know SAP has one of the finest pricing engines in the world...but someone wants to "simplify" > > THANKS! > > Jerry
