I get that, but he's asking about the BAPI side of the conversation, not the calling side. With the lack of traffic in this group, I think his question isn't getting much exposure. OTOH, he's looking outside where he needs to look within.

Dave,
On Dev, we really don't talk Java... We're ABAP centric.

Seriously, creating an SD sales order could be one of the more complex things you might ever want to do in SAP. Most of the answer you're looking for really can't be found out on the internet. You've already got the function module documentation, and you should have access to SAP help and SDN. Anything more detailed than that really has to come from within your organization - the functional people there are the only ones who understand how your system is configured. For example, it's true that the only mandatory field in ORDER_ITEMS_IN might be Material. The real truth, though, is that it won't be enough in your environment to create an order that works for you.
I'm not quite sure why you got steered over to this group (there's almost no traffic) - I think you'll have access to many more people in the SAP-DEV and SAP-ABAP groups. It really doesn't matter for this question that you're calling the BAPI from Java - what matters is the data you pass.

Hi Experts,
I,m new in SAP. I have problem to create sales order using BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT1 from java application. i already followed many references from many website but it doesn't work. these are the instruction that i was used:
Mandatory entries:
ORDER_HEADER_IN : DOC_TYPE Sales document type
SALES_ORG Sales organization
DISTR_CHAN Distribution channel
DIVISION Division
ORDER_PARTNERS..: PARTN_ROLE Partner role, SP sold-to party
PARTN_NUMB Customer number
ORDER_ITEMS_IN..: MATERIAL Material number
If you have configurable items, you must enter the configuration data in the ORDER_CFGS_REF, ORDER_CFGS_INST, ORDER_CFGS_PART_OF and ORDER_CFGS_VALUE tables.
Please tell me what are the uses of these tables and suggest me how to use it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Immanuel Panjaitan
