Hello Leroynz,
This is used in sitution where you have some common costs to 2 or more
production lines. For example you have a melting shop and you have induction
funrnace and arc furnace which are two work centers and separate cost
centers. You might have some costs in melting department as a whole which
again would be a cost center (a 3rd one) and now you may have an assessment
or a distribution cycle with the rule as actual activity to allocate the
costs to arc and induction furnaces. The activities would be posted in the
arc and the induction furnaces from the production planning module when the
confirmations are made.
