Hello,
Currently in my company, if a sales order is created containing a make-to-order item, a planned order is automatically generated for that finished good item. Also a planned order is generated for each of its component items. The finish date on the planned orders would change accordingly if the delivery date on the finished good in the sales order is changed.
My questions is that once finished good and the component planned orders are converted to production orders, is it possible for the component production order finish dates to change accordingly if the delivery date on the finished good in the sales order is changed. Right now, we have to manually go into the each component's respective production order and change the finish date if the finished good's finish date is modified. Is there a config setting that can be switched so that any date changes in the finished good production order or sales order can be automatically reflected in its component production orders.
Any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
