Hi GK
Your thought process here in terms of running the trace to see what's checked is spot on. I'm not especially familiar with those two objects but if that's what the code is checking and there is no field within either to restrict in the way you want then your best way forward will be a Z transaction to restrict what the users can get to through the dynpro.
