Hi,

Somehow, SAP has not thought of designing their system to enable SD process for return delivery from subcontractor as far as I am concerned. The only SD process that SAP has defined so far is for stock transfer between two plants, goods issue to customer, subcontractor and return from your warehouse to vendor. Technically, as you said you can customize your system using schedule line category with related movement type to generate the delivery. Yet, this is not the way SAP has designed its system.

Cheers,
HT

Subject: Inbound delivery for movt type 542 on version 4.7

> I am trying to work out creation of an inbound delivery for return of subcontract stock from a vendor (movement type 542). This is on version 4.7, receiving the material back into a storage location that is not warehouse or handling unit managed. I know that an outbound delivery is easily created for the initial issue of stock (movt type 541) using transaction ME2O. Is there a way to use ME2O to create the inbound delivery to received unused stock back? I am not seeing that in the transaction, and am not seeing another way to easily enable the inbound delivery in version 4.7. In ECC6, inbound and outbound deliveries are now the norm.
