Hi everyone
It should not be required to have separate w/t's. One w/t should be enough for basic pay. The change in infotype 8 can be effective from a retro period - this will be reflected in IT 3 - master data chng date. It will automatically result in retro payrun
For a full time empl, the basic pay will be per annum and for a casual it would be houly. The basic pay in each pay period would be another w/t with a suitable text, for example Basic Pay mth for monthly paid emp, and the annual one would be Basic Pay.
Many companies show the annual basic pay as part of the employee's basic details. In the line items, the period's payments & deductions are shown.
For the actual payment in a period, the annual basic pay would be divided by 12 for a monthly payroll. The hourly rate is calculated for OT pay, etc.
The arrears payment for increased basic can be paid through off-cycle payroll.
Hope this helps.
Regards, JG
