Hi,

Just because SAP doesn't recommend to install the ABAP+JAVA dual stack
system, it doesn't mean that you can't install the separate ABAP and JAVA
stacks on the same server, as long as the server has meets the HW
requirements.
And to answer your question about the migration to split the ABAP+JAVA
installation into two single stack systems. Yes, if you install ABAP+JAVA
dual stack now, SAP can in the future decide to stop supporting this type of
installation. Then you'll have to split the dual stack into 2 single stack
systems to receive support from SAP.
However, as I mentioned above, you don't need to split the single stack
systems on different hosts. They can reside on the same host, but they must
have different SIDs.

Regards,
LEH

Hi Abuzar,
As I need to have a BI :ABAP JAVA on the same host.
If I understand well, I need to apply the oss note 1181025.
To implement on the same host, I need to use the point 3: Getting a SAP
Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 incl. EHP1 BI Dual-stack System
Using SAPinst With Modified usages_data.xml
but I do not understand the caution note:
If you use this procedure for a new BI dual stack installation, you accept
possible future migration effort to split the dual stack into two single
stack systems (ABAP and Java).
What does it means ??
Do I need to split ABAP and Java on different host ???
MAy be it is stupid question, but I do not undestand well what I need to do
..
Thanks for your help
Daniel
