Hi
Since you are talking about field status during transaction posting, let us
have a quick recap of the related subject.
Field Status at posting can be set at two places.
Every transaction posting requires two pieces of information
a. a GL Master item to be used in a line item of the transaction to be
posted
and
b. a posting key for such line item indicating Debit or Credit.
Therefore, Field Status is set at these two places namely the GL master
record ( field status group in the create/bank / interest tab) at the
company code segment
and again in the related posting key.
During transaction posting these two settings compare one against the other
and vie for the SRO Rule ( It is not SDRO rule during transaction posting
since a posted document automatically moves over to display mode, by default
and there is no display possibility prior to document posting). The ultimate
status is determined by the winner setting of the SRO Rule.
Please check in your document, if the field status in the field status group
of the GL Master Record vis-a-vis
the field status setting in the related posting key of the line item used
for this GL Master record.
If you have not assigned suppress status ( in the Field Status Group as
well as the related posting key ), you can see this field.....
It would be optional if your posting key contains optional or display.
It would be required if your posting key contains required
It would be suppressed if your posting key contains suppress.
Tweak the settings to avoid suppress.....and voila.....your problem is
solved.
Try posting a new document affecting the related GL and posting key now and
please let me know if your problems stands solved........
All the best
Regards
