None of these proposals can be used in my case :

- raw materials requirements (long term) are generated by upper level materials (short production cycle). So I cannot play with MRP runs

- Orders must be released immediately.

There were good suggestions, but ... not applicable taking existing constraints into consideration.

Thanks

Christophe

Subject: Limit the conversion of planned order into production in a certain horizon

> Hi,
We are requested by the production department to restrict the timeframe in which people can convert the planned orders into production orders.
We cannot restrict the MRP horizon, as we need to keep the visibility of row materials (pruchasing cycle is very long).
So we need to keep all planned orders but restrict the autorisation for users to convert them into production orders into a limited timeframe.
Is there a standard way to deal with such requests ?
Thanks for your advises.
Regards
