Hi, You are using the wrong time constraint. 2 will always allow gaps. 1 demands a continuous record which can be delimited, but with no gaps. This can be set for your subtype, and that works well.
Hope this assists.

> We have numerous subtypes on Infotype 0034. The Infotype setting (V_T582A field ZEITB) has the Time Constraint set to T and the subtypes themselves (V_T591A) has the time constraint set to 2. This means that the system will not allow two of the same subtype to overlap.
However, the requirement is to only allow one record to exist at once - and this could be any subtype. I tried changing V_T582A field ZEITB to "2" but this still allows overlapping records if the subtype is different.
Is there a way to ensure that only one IT0034 record can exist at once (or have gaps)?
Cheers.
