1) A change like that was probably not predicted in your initial sizing. You should have reworked your initial sizing estimates before adding that much to a system.
2) You've given us nothing to go on. What is hanging? Is DB updates hanging? Are user wait times becoming infinate? Are critical batch processes failing to run? You'll need some answers before presenting this question to the Basis forum.
3) As the others have said, you really need to be asking on sap-basis.
other thoughts: Bring your system up slowly. No users at first. Watch your stats to see what is going out of kilter first. You've probably got numerous issues that are complicating each other. Unfortunately, I'm betting that you'll really have to resize your system. Most especially, your DB server will not be able to be an application server without really muscling it up... Remember, the most important part is to get your real answers from sap-basis!

Hi folks,
I am working as a SAP Basis Consultant in an MNC. I need some suggestions regarding performance of SAP.
I was having 1 Finance system and it was working fine. Now we have put logistics and all other modules on same system and added somewhere around 1000 users. It started handing. We upgraded system kernel and patches also but no resolution. We upgraded Oracle patches as well but no solution. Could anyone help me out regarding the same. I did all the things what I know but no resolution.
Do anyone have any resolution for the same ????
