Toolbox sap-basisIt's a 2 system landscape, PRD and DEV, DEV has two clients and I'm trying to copy PRD to one of those clients that acts as quality assurance system.
I've already tried putting database on simple mode recovery but the log grew anyway. The log file is on autogrow I don't know if removing that property would make the log not to grow with the combination of a simple recovery mode.
The size of the productive system is about 100GB and the export transport is about 4 GB.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
The same amount of data is copied during client import as during remote
copy, so the log will grow equally large.
However, you can turn of the logs by setting it to simple mode. Just be sure
to reset it after the copy and perform a full backup.
If a system copy is a better solution depends on your needs. You'll have to
tell us more details about your system for us to help you decide.
For instance, what are the source and target systems? How many clients do
you have in the source/traget systems? And so on...

LEH

Hello,
I'm performing a client export/import ECC 5 on SQl Server 2000.
When starting import on target client runs for some hours and then the
transaction log gets full and stops the import.
If I choose to do a Remote Client copy will the log grow less? Or should I
expect the same problem?
Would it be best to make a system copy?
Thanks in advance!
