Hi Experts,
I am an ABAPer trying to help out a friend of my with a project he is working on; he is helping clean up a project gone bad. Neither of us has worked with billing plans before and the client does not have an SD config resource at this time.
What we have is a scenario where when a line item is added to a sales order after some of the billing plan milestones have be reached, the spread out of the next payments is inaccurate at the item level.
Here is a simple example:
Sales order for 2 lines each $2400 with 4 payments of $1200.
The invoice for each payment shows $600 going to each material; when all 4 cycles have completed, the total shows $2400 paid to each material as expected:

Now if we have the same scenario but after a payment, for example after the second payment, a new line is added. Here is what we get:

After payment 2, another $1000 is added with 2 payments left to absorb it, which makes an additional $500 per payment. The value of the invoice is divided evenly between the line items. There are two issues, the rounding error that is minor but still upsetting the FI folks. The other is that the net values of invoiced lines does not match the net values of the sales order line items.
We are working on EEC 6.0 (another first for us) and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. __.____._
