Yeah, the PIRs are tricky here. We use our forecasted sales number as our PIR element in this case. Using MRP with type 2 firming the Purchase Requisition is generated. But due to our configured Coverage Profile the MRP run "sees" the stock. So our Demand figures are around -800, -700, -500 pieces where our lot sizing has the fixed lot size of 2,000 PC. So yes we consume the PIRs at the G/R of the batch but each time we move a batch out of the stock calculation we are moving a signigicant amount greater than any individual PIR number so the concern is that we are removing more (+) figures than we are consuming (-) figures from the MRP calculation. Right now I have worked around this by placing the material on Gross Requirements planning but using the supply or full lot delivery quantity as the PIR. I don't see a real good solution short of making the secondary plant a storage location in the planning plant rather than two different plant entities. __.____._
