I am in line with the response from Anand. You can use a single work center to represent the furnace (assuming they can all share the same standard value key in their routings). I will also assume the activity quantities associated with the production of the different metals will vary (since the temp is different). In that case, you would set up separate routings, all using the same work center (the need for separate routings is to allow for different activity quantities relative to the base). You would then assign the separate metals to the separate routings. The single work center would allow your capacity planning to work effectively for the production of the different metals. You would plan/schedule the production of each metal separately and produce through separate production orders. __.____._
