You can use a reduction rule assinged to the quota generation rule to reduce the accrued quota entitlement based on unpaid days or other absences. In the IMG step Define Generation Rules for Quota Type Selection you'll see an option for Reduction rules. Here you create the rule, specifically by using the section for percentage of inactive calendar days.
Then is option Reduction indicators for absences use the Reduction check box to identify the absence types that would cause a reduction in the quota accrual.
When using a reduction rule, you will often also want to use a rounding rule to ensure you get reasonable values.
