FB75 defaults to a particular document type, in our system it is type DG.
FB70 probably defaults to a different document type, in our system this is type DR.
In configuration, the document types can be assigned different number ranges, in our system both DG and DR are assigned to the same number range.
Check what document type your FB75 transaction code is defaulting to then check in configuration what number range that document type is assigned to, then finally check the number range object.

I am posting FB75 Credit memo to a customer. However, I kept getting an error message
"In company code ROSH, the number range 16 is missing for the year 2017".
Please help. Didn't get this message in FB70 Customer invoice, F-28 and F-02.
I have no clue.
