The way I see it, you will have Outbound Delivery documents created with reference to an SO/Item. So, you should look into tables LIKP and LIPS for Delivery docs Header and footer. Specifically at table LIPS there are some fields like VGBEL, VGPOS, UECHA that establish the relationship bt/ SO and OD at item level. Then you may find the status fields and be able to pull up a logic from there.
