I don't have experience with tables.
I would like to point out that the hand helds or guns are prepared to quite common impacts, scratches and all kinds of situations commonly happening at the warehouse or production areas.
In adition I know that a tablet reads a barcode or any other symbol through the camera, but not sure if it reads radio frequency and/or rfid tags.

My client wants to use tablets (instead of RF guns) for scanning barcodes in warehouse operations and material transfers. I do not have experience with tablets as RF scanning devices. Most of my projects are with Symbol or other makes.
Does anyone has experience with tablets as RF scanning devices? Any pros and cons you can list using tablets versus handheld scanning deveices?
