documents, allows you to check for movement for specific materials, all
material of a certain movement type, movements on a date, movement by,
etc. The end result is a list of movement documents. Not stock levels.
If you want to generate POs for stock below a certain level, then you need
to set up the Material Masters, with reorder Qtys, and periodically run MRP.

Hi Gurus,
Exploring possible business cases for automation of MB51. My question is only around business use cases for automating this transaction.
MB51 is one of the most used transactions, and if data can automatically validate after the transaction is executed... how would you use it?
I am no expert, but initially I would think something like the below would eliminate a lot of wasted time if automated..
ex 1: Movement type x, must = movement type y. If not, send notification to business.
ex 2: If raw material stock levels for material ABC123 drops below 500 units, create a purchase order?
Thoughts?
