Hi Anirban,

Thanks for your suggestion, but I think ALV in custom control will not work for us, because we want to use it on RF mobile devices in our warehouse.
What a pity, that SAP didn't design table control / screen handing more flexible.
I used field-symbols now. This is working.

Regards
Michael

Subject: How To Use The Same Table Control On Different Screens?

Hi Micheal,

I guess it is not possible, because when we define the table control then
we need to specify the screen number, for example ;-

CONTOLS 'XXXXX' TYPE TABLEVIEW USING SCREEN NNNN.

Now if we want to add the same table control in another screen of the same
module pool or function group then we cannot define the other screen number
with the same control (i.e. 'XXXXX' ). System will give an error, i.e.
"Control XXXXX already exists/defined".

*Note :-*
If you want to reduce the amount of coding then better go with custom
control (OOPS ALV approach).

Following are the advantages :-
a) Maintenance is easy
b) Amount of coding is less
c) Reusable
d) Also you can present it to the client with various designs (colorful
grid, bold values inside the grid, filter & sorting options, etc.)

I'm saying this from my personal experience and I hope it will help you too.

Thanks,
Anirban
