You have to maintain target value and item price, so that system will
consider the item price when calculate the value target, if value target
reach system will give the message saying that you have exceeded target
value.

Hi,
I'm creating contract by value (va41) then I input target value.
My questions:
1. Does anyone know how SAP value contract best practice about price in value contract, if I create value contract and input value target, must I still input price in item condition? What is item condition price used for if I already input value target?
2. Is that possible if I create value contract without item pricing condition, just value contract?
3. If I create order with reference this contract, must I input price in item condition or just in target value?
