Question from Andy Murzyn on Oct 26 at 11:06 AM My FICO analyst has asked me to update the statistics of a number of finance tables, CE12000, VBAP, FAGLFLEXA to just a few. I'm done this in my Sandbox system with no noticeable negative impact. I wouldn't have expected any though considering it's a sandbox system with few active users and even less activity. My question is this:
Does updating these table statistics in Production require downtime or is enough to just perform these operations during a slow time (i.e. Saturday/Sunday)?
Most of the tables I updated completed within a few minutes, but FAGLFLEXA took over an hour.
Any advice is greatly appreciated,
