Question from David on Sep 6 at 12:34 PM Plant 1 has item A, Plant 1 gets item A from Plant 2(where it is either made or purchased)
sales orders are placed against Plant 1 only. the lead time in plant 1 is set to the number of days it takes for plant 2 to package and ship to plant 1(ie transit time+)(ex = 7 days)
Currently a sales order against Plant 1, when there is no inventory ATP sets customer expectation 7 days out. Plant 1 places STO against Plant 2...THEY DO NOT HAVE INVENTORY and lead time to get it is 10 days in Plant 2. so 10 days plus 7days Transit time is 17 days.
we want the sales order, using gATP/RBA to 'see' there is no inventory in Plant 2 and set customer expectaion to 17 days out.
We cannot switch plants.
Isnt this straight forward for SAP APO? im not looking for the details, but simply
"APO GATP can be configured to support this requirement without enhancement"
yes or no?
