Hi,

We have SRM working and I agree from a PM prospective that it is difficult to see SRM process but what are you really looking for.

If it is a component purchased by MRP you can still see the delivery days based on the material number as long as the PO is created back in ECC from SRM. If the SRM is creating the PO then I have no idea. We ensured when we did our SRM implementation that the process started in ECC (PR) and ended in ECC (PO). This way it is visible to the PM people. I also created a SAP query for the maintenance people to view the SRM Shopping cart numbers so they can chase procurement for outstanding materials.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Can PM Be Successfully Integrated With SRM?

I am working with a refinery and they use SRM for material purchases. However, they have a distinct lack of visibility and are struggling to see availability of materials, planned delivery dates and even which Work Orders the PO's are required for as they also run MRP.

I suspect the use of SRM and PM together does not work too well. Does anybody have experience of using SRM with PM (especially refinery based)?

Many thanks.
