As you said you are very much new in SAP field and also your company is
using B1 not R3 as I I understood. If B1 then I am not sure how you tagged
the primary cost center to the GL account. In real filed in the R3 we
usually tagged primary cost center to the expense GL account. And keep this
in mind cost center will be used only P&L item not in B/S item.
