A prefered way to communicate with SAP from external applications is through the Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI). Through these intefaces many (but not all) transactions can be called. The process can take a while to figure out as it is not often straightforward. look at the TCODE BAPI in SAP and Google around to see examples.

Subject: How To Call A T-code from External Application

Hi Team,

Am completely new to SAP, working on an integration tool to integrate SAP to this applicaiton. Now my toold supports all kind of methods to talk to any given application, Modes may be of SOAP/REST/ssh commands, SQL queries, Vbscripts.etc.

I am trying to figure out how can I call T-codes from SAP via my application. Any help would be much appreciated.
