For the GL account already has postings and which is not a zero in balance and to activate the open items for that particular account, depending on the SAP version you used we have some steps to be followed which require a good amount of time to be spent in completing the activity!
'Wait till year is closed' ...means now we are in end of the calender year 2015, there are a list of activities based on your company setup in SAP, to be followed to close the year 2015 and open 2016! Due to the year end close/process your support team may be busy and that's why they have asked you to wait till year (2015) closed

I have accounts that were setup in the past without clicking the open item management.
I was told that you have to wait until year is closed.
My questions is what needs to be closed so i can go to each account and click the open itme management?
