I'd suggest a different approach than customizing or enhancing a SAP standard program.

(1) modify the Security for the User used to batch run program RPRPOSTD so that they can only create locked 2001 records for the sub-types you want

(2) create a new user with the required security and modify the Batch so that this new user runs the batch job

Subject: How To Post Locked Entries Via ESS Leave Request

Hello Guys,

I would like some help. I want to know if I can create locked entries in IT 2001 for specific subtype only. through ess (webdynpro) leave request. Right know we use ess to create a leave request and mss to approve this request (we use standard wf 33700137). When the wf completes and program RPRPOSTD runs, entries of absences are created. I want for specific subtypes the entries to be posted in lock status. Is this possible from customizing or enhancement in program RPRPOSTD is needed?
Thanks a lot for your prompt replies.
