Reply from tomevans866 on Oct 15 at 9:52 AM Likely cause is that the user exit called in the IE01 customization is not being called in the IE08 process. The Equipment Category of 'S' for customer equipment drives some different function modules in the programming.
Or the program could be specifying to only perform the calculations when using IE01, or for certain Equipment category, or something else that is different.
You or your ABAPers will need to look at the customizing specs and code and perhaps run a trace for the two cases.

We have done some customizing that is controlled by a function module and does calculations in the background when you create Equipment with IE01. The client however uses IE08 as they use CS rather than PM. The required updates are done when IE01 is used but not when IE08 is used. Does anyone know why this is?
