Search "SAP Change Material Type" to find long threads on this subject. One on this forum ran from 2003-2011. Unless you are ready to archive old objects, be prepared to create a new number. You can load consumption history into the new number and use where-used to find the BOMs, Routings/Task Lists and other places that would need to be updated. Tom
