Case#1: You can transfer the asset within company code using Tcode: ABUMN.
Here you can key in the new asset master number and define the correct
asset class. You need to create the target asset master before executing
this Tcode. You can also change the depreciation key in the asset master
after transfer.
Though not sure about Case#2, I would go for reversal of all the
depreciation postings, reverse the Asset document by AB08 and book the
Asset acquisition to the respective expenditure account.
