determination analysis at sales order level(va01 with sales doc type &
sales area..enter inside...before entering customer number..go to
environment in menu bar...then analysis..on the material
determination..then enter customer code-material etc...now system will
tell you why were condition records were not captured for product
selection....

Why don't you ask your customer to order material "TheLatestandGreatest"
and then setup the material determination so that that is always
substituted with the latest iteration of your actual material number - you
don't have to create a "TheLatestandGreatest" material master it just is a
code value that material determination runs against.
I don't think it's possible to run a recursive determination as the system
only looks through the condition tables (KOTDxxx where xxx is the table
number(s) in your access sequence) once in the function module.
Surely this would be easier for the customer too - each customer could have
a different code they use so some customers could be linked to the latest
iteration and a less important customer could be linked to a generation or
two before to use up stocks of that material. |
