Reply from guest on Jul 28 at 8:46 AM Depends on your MRP settings for "Create Purchase Req" If you use setting 2 for Purchase requisition in opening period and pair that with a scheduling margin key to tell the system when to turn the planned order to a purchase requisition before the lead time, this will stop all items from being requisitions.

Is there a way to stop or red flag MRP from creating Purchase Orders. For stock orders (VB) that exceed maximum bin. After a reservation is put in the system.
Some work orders can be years in advance.
There are many line items with long leave times one to 12 months and up to 18 months 2 years. Plus thousands of consumables and other short leave time items that ride along on the same orders.
Is it possible with out changing to PD and using safety stock.
