When I have had problems with agents connecting properly it has usually been down to the managingconf script
the following link has helped me a bit with this

but sometimes even when ran properly the config properties are sometimes still not set right.
You can see these in \usr\sap\<DA SID>\SMDA<nn>\SMDAgent\configuration\runt ime.properties
particularly the parameter "smd.agent.connection.url" would get corrupt (should be set as - ms\://<FQDN>\:81<nn>/P4). You can edit the file manually too rather than run the script.
Check the parameters within this file and also check the log files for any hints as to what is wrong in \usr\sap\<DA SID>\SMDA<nn>\SMDAgent\log

I'm installing agents for two systems, Solman & ECC Dev.
Systems are distributed as Solman/Solman DB, ECC/ECC DB, all of them with different hostname. I installed two agents using SWPM in AIX. The pro1qqqAAcess run smoothly and the Success message appeared after installing.
Now, the two of them are in the Non-Authenticated area in Agent Administration.
I tried to uninstall and install another one, the same.
Tried with the smdsetup sldconf & managingconf script (I used slddsuser and smd_agt for the script, and verify the credentials for those users)
Tried with Push Credentials
Change to generate certificate, then push credentials.
-could you help me with the required roles for slddsuser and smd_agt, I assigned some to sldduser via UME and smd_agt, but not sure if they're sufficient.. I don't know what to do, there's an error (in Agent Admin) that says:
J2EE connection user: CN:SMD_AGT, OU=SAP AGS O=SAP, C=DE
Authentication Method: certificate
Exception: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions .NoPermissionException: Exception during getInitialContext operation. Wrong Security principle/credentials. [root exception is co.sap.engine.services.BaseLoginException: Cannot authenticate the user.] |
