Reply from ravi venkatesan on Jul 1 at 3:12 AM HI, Suggestion to : Question from Angie_L on Jun 30 at 6:21 PM Glad to suggest the following few lines: 1. For 3 separate Production Building (presume that they are separated by location not in same premises) create Individual plant so that transact and move the materials from one Plant to another thro SAP, can maintain inventory separately and have better control. 2. For Multi Storage location : create separate SL under the Plant -- It would be : Plant --- SL 3. Warehouse: Create separate Plant so that goods can be moved when necessary to Production unit. Here you can have only Inventory Movement and not to issue materials for consumption directly. 4. Materials once moved to Production unit can charge to relevant Finished product by creating a separate CT (Cost Centre) for each FP and at the end of the day you may come to know how much you have spent for each product. Our current process(legacy MRP system) utilizes custom reports to know what products need to be moved between facilities and moves are done manually. While this is not ideal for our warehouse staff, we like the global ATP and MRP plans for purchasing. We are part of a larger implementation, but no other facilities have similar physical layouts, so I'm looking for outside guidance. WM not IM has been determined. Please let me know what other info might be needed for proper feedback! | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
