Reply from JG-SAPHR on May 26 at 7:50 AM You need to 1)Create a sample file in Excel, with pers no., start/end date, pay scale type, etc, each w/t & its amt, etc. Save it as a *.txt file. Use a couple of typical perso.no's that you need to update (or download from prod to DEV/test client). 2)In PA30 txn, create a batch recording for IT 8 copy/insert, do not select any field, but enter it's contents. Selection for field values (e.g. for infotype, date or w/t) creates problems in batch recording. 3)In LSMW txn, 3.1)create a LSMW object, using the recording from step 2). 3.2)Go through all the steps in this txn till you create a BDC session. In the creation/update of the data & BDC session, use the sample file from step 1). 3.3)Execute the BDC session in foreground mode, with option to show errors only. 4)Check the updated data for the employee/s. Repeat/correct the steps above till you find data is correct. 5)Save the items in step 2) & 3 in a transport and move to Test system/client. Test some more in this client. You may get the users to do a UAT. 6)Move the transport to prod. 7)In prod system 7.1)Create file as in step 1). You may split this into a number of files with an initial one for a couple of employees. If the no.of employees is large like a few thousand, you should split to a reasonable number. 7.2)Run the LSMW object with the recording and the initial file above in 7.1) as a further check. Again execute the BDC session as above. If necessary, go back to step 2) above. 7.3)Run LSMW for the remaining file/s.

The issue is employee can have multple LGART's in their basic pay record. The minimum is 3 with a maximum of 18. The problem is employee's could have the same LGART's but in a differ lines. For eg: Employee 1 E005 1000.00 lgart1 9000 100.00 lgart2 9001 100.00 lgart3 9300 1200.00 lgart4 Employee 2 E005 1500.00 lgart1 9001 260.00 lgart2 9000 100.00 lgart3 9300 1860.00 lgart 4 How can this be achieved? Chris 9000 and 9001 are on totally different lines. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
