If config change in T510 is from a previous pay period, and there is no change in payroll related master data to that period, then retro to that period is not automatic.
For all applicable employees
- the IT 3 MD change date is to be changed to the corresponding retro pay period start date with an utility program for IT 3 change (in SE38 see programs available as RPU*).
- or an IT 8 needs to be inserted from that date using LSMW;
in many organisations, this is part of salary scale change process.
This will trigger the payroll retro.

I have setup pay scale structures in T510 and attached appropriate structure to planned compensation IT1005 on the job. When creating an IT8 record, the pay scale type, area, group, level and hourly rate of pay automatically populate as expected. However, the hourly rate of pay amount is incorrect; it is not defaulting the correct rate of pay from the pay scale structure. Period work hours on IT8 are correct (40 - weekly pay frequency), the employment %, daily, weekly, monthly annually working hours are all correct on IT7. The wage type characteristics for the hourly rate of pay wage type is set to TARIF for indirect evaluation model with a module variant of 'B'
Can anyone tell me why the rate of pay on IT 8 is not defaulting with the correct rate of pay amount?
