Reply from ChrisO on Apr 20 at 4:06 AM If your new UoM can be related to your old UoM by some normal arithmetic relationship (eg EA = 100KG) then you can leave the original UoM in place and set Sales UoM, Production UoM, Purchase UoM, IM UoM, and WM UoM as you new UoM. The new UoM will always then be presented by the system in those areas, but the base UoM will remain as the original. This can work in certain circumstances and we have used this strategy successfully. It saves having to create an new item and keeps all the history of the existing item intact. But if you need your base UoM to change then this approach won't/can't work.

I would like to change UOM of a part. In MM02 the system gave errors indicating that PO and PR exist for that part. I short closed the PO and when MM02 was run, the system indicated presence of only PR. I tried to close PR but the system is not allowing me to delete the item . It is till giving the error message that the PO exists
Please some one suggest how to close this error |
