You could write a query or you could dump the EKPO table to a spreadsheet and use a formula to derive the number of items per tax code. If you don't have access to SE16, you could run ME2L with ALV and sort the items by tax code. This can be extracted to excel where you can add a formula to count the number of items per tax code. If you have BI, I'm sure you could this detail from a report there. There are quite a few ways you could arrive at a count.
