These days many use a certificate as a gate pass to make the entry. All are doing well in accordance to their ability. The real challenge is when you are assigned the task and you actually play that role in front of the client and their demands. b. I should do SAP FICO or Oracle Financials Oracle is stable in the market while SAP is growing at a rapid pace and providing huge employment opportunity - SAP consultant's billing rate per hour is greater. Based on your background - SAP ECC6; CO module (associate-level) can be chosen, if you desire to do a certification. c. How do I start my career in b above at this age? Is entry level possible for me? You have a good Industry background and with this experience you can actually start a-fresh (sooner the better) in the Consulting career path. Age is a matter of concern for those who are worried, and not those who are technologically biased or Tech Savvy. IT-industry will consider non-IT experience @ 50% of years of exp. Compounded with relevant IT experience. Your onboarding level depends on the recruiting company that has achieve CMMI compliance at what level, and in which tier does it exist in the market place. Recommended to give it a shot. Best Regards - Bobby By Choice.
