Reply from Manohar on Apr 6 at 9:13 AM Rightly Said Sap-enthu. I too have faced similar situation getting into IT industry. As rightly pointed out by some one people with large domain experience should avoid entering IT field. Congratulations to sap enthu for getting back to domain. I wish I too could do this. Still now I am struggling to get an opening. I was working as Project Manager for development than and my desire was to join SAP stream as a consultant. Now I have left the dream of getting into SAP and continued working as Project manager. Following are the reasons. 1. Openings were very less and the mostly were in support domain. 2. Salary was almost 25% which I was drawing as Project Manager. With family to support it was difficult. 3. Met few mentors from SAP, who are Project manager's in SAP, came to know I would become SAP Project Manager due to my Management background in future. I never wanted to be Project manager. So decided to not to pursue further. I still remember the pain I went thru paying educational loans and also getting certified as SAP CO was difficult module that time. I am from Engineering background. Thanks, Sagar | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | In the Spotlight Become a blogger at Toolbox.com and share your expertise with the community. Start today. _.____.__ |
