Hi Sagar,

You had very terrific experience it seems with ATOS. Switching to SAP is
not suggestible if you have more than 3 years of work experience. You have
to work with juniors and you will draw fresher salary and if you get into
development side, you may learn and move ahead with growth path but if you
get a support project, you will feel like working in BPO and you will see
dark future ahead.

People just manipulate the things with favorable comments about career in
SAP, it is quite opposite in real world. If you believe in your destiny then
you can do anything but normally it does not happen.

I hope I could make my point correctly.

All the best.

Regards,
Niraj

Subject: Changing Career Path from Sales & Marketing to SAP SD Consultant

Hi,

I was also certified from Atos for SAP CO in 2011. Still now I am struggling
to get an opening. I was working as Project Manager for development than
and my desire was to join SAP stream as a consultant.

Now I have left the dream of getting into SAP and continued working as
Project manager.

Following are the reasons.

1. Openings were very less and the mostly were in support domain.
2. Salary was almost 25% which I was drawing as Project Manager. With
family to support it was difficult.
3. Met few mentors from SAP, who are Project manager's in SAP, came to know
I would become SAP Project Manager due to my Management background in
future. I never wanted to be Project manager.

So decided to not to pursue further. I still remember the pain I went thru
paying educational loans and also getting certified as SAP CO was difficult
module that time. I am from Engineering background.

Thanks,
Sagar
