Hi,

Receipt will attempt to place in the pick bin first if there is capacity, otherwise it goes into the bulk reserve area.

We pick from bulk when the control qty is breached. We have set Full qty removal on the bulk storage type, so that the full quant is removed and no partial pallets are held there. You could set the Return Storage Type to be a different Storage Type so that your high racking remains full pallets, if required.

We are not batch managed and use LP21 replen, but I'd like to think that some of the above could be options for you.

Regards,
Mark

Hello Mark,
Thanks for your response. Can you please clarify the following. When you receive products, do they get stored in Bulk storage type? Or is this in addition to High Rack storage? Do you pick both Full Pallet and Full Case from Bulk? Does this not lead to partial Pallets remaining in Bulk? Do you only run fixed bin replenishment? Note: Our products are batch managed.

We currently do not pick from High Racks. Only from the replenished Floor level Bins. I agree with you that strategy M: According to Qty might suit this requirement.

Thanks,
SK
