You can use construction type to achieve you aim.
1. Create a maintenance assembly using transaction code MMPI.
2. Maintain only basic data for the material.
3. Name the material i.e PUMPS_CATEPILLAR_123456
4. Create a material BOM using transaction code CS01.
5. Choose the material you created in "3" above and maintain the various component, quantity and units.
6. Go to the organization tab of those 6 equipment and choose "3" above in the construction type field and save.
