Reply from Ron Roberts on Oct 1 at 1:55 PM Check your settings for the base method assigned to your depreciation key. Look at "Depreciation after planned life end". If this is set to NO, that will explain why depreciation has stopped.

Dear Gurus,
We have a scenario as below:
2 nos Tata bus purchased in 2006
2 nos Tata bus purchased in 2008
Depreciation rate : 20% straight line method.
On 12 December 2011, these were fitted with a roof top Air conditioners and
the value was added to these buses. But the depreciation was calculated for
the total value (bus cost + AC cost) the first 2 buses till 31-Dec-2011 and
up to 2013 for the other two buses. After the buses' life i.e 5 years, the
depreciation has not been calculated by the system for the AC units. Any
suggestions?
