I am also completed my M.C.A in Chennai. Currently in a MNC I am working as a functional consultant for SAP HR, if you choose ABAP you don't find any difference because it is a programming, but if you become a functional consultant you have to do lot of study to understand the process which you can learn easily as well.
Functional Consultants wont to any programming. Rather they will be doing the configuration in SAP, getting requirement from Client, handling calls with Clients etc.
But technical consultants do programming. So choice is yours you can become any if you have interest.

I understand your doubt. If you are very keen to go on the same track of MCA profession then do ABAP. If you don't want to become a programmer, then become a Functional consultant. Based on your construction experience do SAP Material Management or Planning Consolidation or Quality Management or Payroll. I have listed on priority basis based on your education and experience.
