First I agree that you have setup the roles in dev and transport it to production.
The best way is remove the single role from the composite roles. You can do that via ECATT.
1. First download the composite roles with the assigned single roles to excel (table AGR_AGRS)
2. Download the composite roles( name and description) to excel (table AGR_DEFINE or SUIM)
3. Remove the single role(s) you want from the composite roles in the excel in step 1
4. Create an ECATT for delete a composite role and run this ECATT with the data from step 2
5. Create an ECATT for create a composite role (name and description) ( an empty one without single role) and run the ECATT with the data from the excel in step 2 . You will get now all composite roles newly created without any single roles in it.
6. CREATE an ECATT for assigning 1 single role to 1 composite role and run this ECATT with the data from step 1. You will have now newly created 'old' composite roles without the single role.
7.Transport it to Production
I normally use the ECATT's in Step 4 and 5 to create composite roles.
Perhaps it can on a faster way but this will work.
Another approach is : make the single role empty. This means that this role is still in the composite roles but does not have any transactions etc. in it.
