Hi,

If your DB is Oracle then do the following steps:
1. Login to OS as ora<sid>
2. Sqlplus
3. Sql>select UFLAG, BNAME, MANDT from SAPSR3.USR02 where BNAME='SAP*';
4. delete from SAPSR3.USR02 where BNAME='SAP*' and MANDT=<client number>;
5. Exit from sql prompt
6. Now switch user to sid<adm>
7. Cd /sapmnt/<SID>/profile
8. Open your profile file through vi editor and change the value of login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0
9. Save the file
10. Stopsap and startsap
11. Now try to login with user sap* and password pass
Hope it will work.

Regards,
